Description
“Curly” hat is a type of rich headgear popular during the late Middle Ages.
A distinctive curl-like texture covers the top of the hat. This is my own interpretation based on available ikongraphy of the period. The curls are similar in color to the felt and form a cohesive whole with the hat, giving it a spatial structure and a very unique look. This type of hat was often decorated with ribbon or string. In addition, it was usually decorated with a feather pinned to the front or side.
The crown of the hat is rounded, usually adhering to the head. The brim is round and flat in front, while turned up on the sides and back.
Here you will order a cap without decorations (ribbon, feathers, etc.). You can add these options to your order in the subcategory “HAT DECORATIONS“.
You are ordering a hat made entirely by hand
I do not use ready-made hat capalins, I create the felt myself using wool fibers. Please note that as a handmade product, it may differ slightly in shape, color, height, or thickness from the hat shown in the photo. By ordering a hat from me, you accept the specifics of handmade work.
Personalization
I have a particular fondness for personalized hats and am eager to undertake interesting realizations (preferably based on historical sources, but not only). It can have some cutouts on the edge, can be finished with lucet handmade woolen or silk cord. Can be lined with linen or silk lining and I also can attach some bautifull feather into it the hat. I also happened to embroider designs on hats.
